- The best way is to get a PCMCIA card modem and use Comm 1. If you have a
- built-in mouse pointer then comm 1 would be free. Type I cards are usually
- memory cards only. Type I and Type II cards are physically similar.

- To your original question, hypothethetically, a modem can be attached to any
- of the 2 serial ports. The problem is making sure that there is no conflicts
- such as IRQ conflicts.
